Belfast Baking Company goes Maltesers® Crazy for Red Nose Day 2017.
The award winning Belfast Baking Company, owned by Paul and Sharon McDonald will be in a chocolate heaven in the next few days as they take on the Maltesers® #bakeamillion challenge at their Titanic Quarter business, Bistro @ Belfast Baking.
The baking company will lead the regional challenge to #bakeamillion for Comic Relief, with the support of partner Maltesers® who are challenging the nation to get involved by baking a cake using Maltesers® and uploading a photo to a social media platform using the hashtag #bakeamillion. For each photo uploaded by midnight on Friday 24th March, Maltesers® will donate £5 towards their total donation of £1 million!
Working with Maltesers®, Bistro @ Belfast Baking is set to create a sumptuous chocolate feast of loveliness, 4ft, (larger than life size) Maltesers® Bunny themed cake, reflecting the Malteser® MaltEaster® Bunny. From today, today, Tuesday 21 March, the public can drop into Bistro @ Belfast Baking to see the amazing cake spectacle being created, and make a donation to the Malteser® #bakeamillion campaign. The cake will be completed by Friday 24th March and ready for sharing! Slices of the cake will be on sale for £3.00 a slice with all money raised being donated to Comic Relief.
Commenting on the partnership with Maltesers®, Paul McDonald, from Bistro @ Belfast Baking, said;
“We are well known for our amazing cake creations, we contacted Malteser® who were only too happy with the idea of partnering to raise cash for Comic Relief as part of Red Nose Day. Malteser® are already leading the charge with their #bakeamillion campaign, so this idea worked perfectly. We are really looking forward to a few fun filled chocolate filled weeks ahead in the bakery! The 4ft Malteser® #bakeamillion Bunny Cake will be created on site at the Titanic Quarter location from Tuesday 21 - Friday 24 March with plans afoot for its big reveal, and lots of yummy slices on Friday morning! Coffee anyone!
